One of the few things left that you can do for free anymore, is to make someone feel better. It doesn’t cost you a dime to do it. And it’s usually pretty easy to do if you try. And chances have it, it’s going to make you feel better too! From a smile and a nod of your head, to a kind word, or simply letting someone that looks like they are hurried, go in front of you in line. The list is long and easy.

Making someone feel better, is a matter of deciding to be nice- in public! Sounds funny when it’s written down like that, but it really is as basic as treating others the way we would like to be treated. Being as nice to others in public, as we are to ourselves in private. And the truth is, we never know what people are going through, or know how much being kind to them can really mean. It’s about time we stop just passing each other by, and all put a little more human into humanity.

Sometimes it’s easier said than done. But when you are successful it is very rewarding. So be careful and remember, it’s contagious! After all, we could all use a little more kindness in our lives.
