She Tried to Live Quietly After a Pardon—Now a J6 Patriot’s Family Faces Jail, Smears, and Financial Ruin
For years after January 6, Renee Fatta did exactly what so many Americans are told to do after hardship: keep her head down, rebuild quietly, and lean on faith.
She got sober. She stayed sober—more than nine years now. She worked. She attended Bible studies. She avoided the spotlight. And after her January 6 case was ultimately resolved through a presidential pardon, she intentionally withdrew from public life, hoping to finally live in peace.
But peace has once again been ripped away.
Today, Renee and her husband are facing a sudden and devastating legal crisis—one that has nothing to do with January 6, yet is being framed through that lens by hostile media all over again. Her husband is currently incarcerated, and Renee is urgently trying to raise bail so he can come home and fight his case from outside a jail cell.
A GiveSendGo fundraiser has been launched to help bring him home and cover immediate legal expenses. You can donate directly here:

This fundraiser is the most important thing readers can do right now to help this family survive.
Harassment, Neglect, and a Breaking Point
Renee and her husband live above a rental unit occupied by individuals actively struggling with addiction. For months, they endured escalating harassment: stolen packages and grocery deliveries, trash placed in their mailbox, loud music used deliberately to intimidate them, and even a dog repeatedly being allowed to soil their doorstep.
Trying to lead with compassion, Renee shared the Gospel and even allowed the tenants temporary access to her internet service. When that access was removed—after repeated abuse—the harassment intensified.
She did what responsible citizens are told to do. She documented everything. She contacted police multiple times. She repeatedly notified the landlord. The day before everything exploded, she spent over an hour on the phone with local law enforcement desperately seeking help.
Nothing changed.
When a grocery delivery was stolen within minutes of arrival, Renee went downstairs simply to ask for her property back. She was screamed at and pushed. Strangers—people who did not live there—were suddenly present. The situation spiraled out of control.
Fearing for his wife’s safety, Renee’s husband came outside. In the chaos of the moment, he fired a single round into the air. No one was injured. But both were arrested, and now her husband sits behind bars.
“I Just Want to Live in Peace”
Renee’s name is once again being dragged through headlines—not because of the facts of this case, but because of her past.
That is the part that cuts deepest.
“I have intentionally lived a quiet, faith-centered life,” Renee explained. “I do not seek attention or conflict—I seek peace.”
Instead, her name has been circulated all over again, her character attacked, and her past January 6 involvement weaponized against her—despite the fact that it was resolved through a presidential pardon and has nothing to do with the current situation.
This is a familiar story to many in the J6 community: no matter how much you rebuild, the stigma follows you.
Why This Fundraiser Matters Right Now
Renee’s GiveSendGo campaign exists for one urgent reason: to bring her husband home so they can fight this case lawfully, together, and from outside a jail cell.
The funds raised will go toward bail and immediate legal expenses—nothing more, nothing less.
While incarcerated, her husband has continued to live his faith, sharing the Gospel daily with other inmates. Renee was able to get him his Bible and a few essentials, but that is not enough. He needs to be home.
This is where you come in.

A Pattern We Can’t Ignore
Sadly, Renee’s story is not unique.
StopHate.com maintains a growing list of January 6 defendants and families who are still struggling—financially, legally, and emotionally—long after the cameras moved on. You can find that list here:
