“Where is my human?” - Father’s Day Tribute to the January 6th Political Prisoners and Their Pets
Nothing pulls at America’s heartstrings like an adorable animal.
For some inexplicable reason we tolerate cruelty to our fellow humans but lose it (rightly so) if we see an animal suffer. In a more perfect world, our compassion would and should extend to both people and pooches and a plethora of other critters affectionately called pets.
For the January 6th peaceful protesters held as political prisoners, they have been separated from their families – husbands from wives, children from parents. For far too many of the J6 prisoners of war, this is now their second Father’s Day away from home.
One J6 father, Chris Quaglin, arrested in April of 2021 and being held hostage at Northern Neck Regional Jail facility until his trial commences on October 3,2022 has a one year old son he has been kept from most of his son’s life as reported in the Epoch Times article, Jan. 6 Detainee Writes on Son’s 1st Birthday: ‘I Went There for You, My Son’ and on Chris’s GiveSendGo page.
Zach Rehl was arrested March 17, 2021 and is being held, denied bail, until his trial on August 8th, 2022. From Zach’s GiveSendGo page:
“Zach is nonviolent and even the prosecution has said as much; he did not assault any police officers or anyone else, he did not push through any barricades, and he did not damage any property. Yet he is being charged with doing that and more.
Since his arrest, Zach has missed the birth of his daughter with his wife and has never been able to hold his almost one year old child. He also has a teenage daughter who he misses greatly and has not seen since his arrest. Zach was the provider for his household and his absence has been a cause of great stress mentally, emotionally, and financially on his family.”
Many more of these patriots were also abruptly separated from their furry family members: the 4-legged dogs, cats, kids (the goat kind), and rabbits; 2-legged roosters and chickens; and even 6-legged honeybees.
Do a word search on “Father’s Day” and “pets” and you will find a seemingly endless display of merchandise for the occasion: mugs, cards, t-shirts, and more. The demand for such products goes beyond the big bucks to be made – people spend where their values are and Americans open both wallets and hearts for their pets. We treasure our pets whether it’s a man and his best friend, a boy and his dog, a girl and her horse, or the household with enough critters to fill a small zoo. Our pets bond with us, are intuitive to our moods, and love with enthusiastic, unconditional devotion. It’s been said, “Dog is God spelled backwards for a reason”.
Separations are hard. (Do dogs grieve?)
Reunions are glorious.
Animals reunited with their humans.
As tortuous as it is for the American patriots to endure the pre-conviction incarceration, their pets at home only know that their human is missing. Imagine as the J6er was excitedly packing to attend the Trump Rally and be counted among the voters questioning the 2020 election results, that in the J6ers’ pets’ minds, that the scene at home with their master might’ve gone something like this:
J6er’s dog (tail wagging excitedly):
“I see you packing your suitcase. Where are we going? I’m coming, right? Wow! This is going to be AWESOME! Look at that red worn MAGA hat… I’m just gonna chew on that hat, mmm smells like my human; tastes like my human. Where are we going? Take me, take me!”
If the J6er had a cat or other furry baby, it’s likely their pet was more chill about the upcoming departure, but still knew something was u. How is it pets always seem to have a sixth sense knowing when we’re leaving them?
Then, in the aftermath of arrests, swat teams, and 400+ days of unconstitutional detainment for hundreds of patriots taken as political prisoners, their pets are left to wonder what happened? Where did their beloved “dad” or “mom” go? “Why is my human gone and when are they coming home?”
When indeed?
As a tribute to Father’s Day (and the moms, too) for beloved furry friends, here’s a photo gallery of a few of the J6 pets.

My bees were sold, traded, and given away. I’m hoping I have a picture of me somewhere working in my hives.
